SEO Designed vs. Graphically Designed Websites
What Good is a Great Looking Site That No One Sees?
There
are many facets involved in creating a successful website that properly
represents your company's branding and is capable of marketing the products
and/or services you offer. All of these facets must work together in
establishing your site as a proven winner. With our 14+ years of
website design, we have watched the Internet evolve from the days when a
site consisted of pages filled with informational text because the 14.4
modem would barely load a graphic on the screen, to the heavily animated
flash sites and intros. But today's websites are far more than the
glorified business brochures of yesterday. They have evolved into an
additional storefronts or offices for many companies. The Internet has
allowed small businesses the opportunity to affordably market to the four
corners of the world, create paperless solutions, streamline their office
and ordering procedures, lower overhead and generate additional revenues
with higher profit margins. But having a dynamic interactive website
that offers all the "bells and whistles" accomplishes nothing if you do not
have foot traffic to your front door. Your site is merely one star in
the universe. The key is traffic to your site and a high sales
conversion ratio that puts money in your pocket. Just because you
build it doesn't guarantee they will come.
SEO vs. SEM vs. SEP
Once
your site has been optimized for the search engines (SEO), it is not over.
Actually it has just began. The next phase is the search engine
marketing (SEM) phase which we will offer in greater detail during our
consulting sessions. Internet networking, direct marketing, directory
submissions, article submissions, press releases, and blogs are just a few
of the strategies to be implemented in meeting your marketing requirements.
This is an ongoing process that requires continual monitoring and the
hands-on application that everything is going as planned in guaranteeing
first page search engine placement (SEP). Additionally; utilizing the
Convenx monitoring system, you can be assured that the changes in the search
engine algorisms for new optimization requirements on websites will be
adjusted and implemented immediately.

SEM - Smart marketing in a tough economy
- Best return on your advertising dollar
Ask
yourself how people are finding you today. They are not using the
phone books like they did yesterday. In a world of instant everything,
drive-thru pick-ups, and the Internet; everyone one is gong to the search
engines, typing in what they want and where they want it and instantly
getting the answer in their drive-thru window. People today, if they
need a plumber - they pull up their favorite search engine, type in plumber
and the city they are from and they find a list of plumbers they can link
over to the plumber's website, view their credentials and make an
appointment. Knowing that more people are utilizing the Search Engines
to locate products and services as opposed to the phone book, you must ask
yourself the question; Can my potential clients find me on the first
pages of the search engines? Typically a person will search up to the
first three pages of the search engines before clicking on one of the
sponsored ads.
The Keyword or Keyword Phrase Dilemma
Picking
keywords or phrases is always a challenge. Convenx will help you in
that area. The challenge is putting yourself in the shoes of the
customer and trying to figure out what they will type into the search engine
to find you. Phrases are becoming key in sorting out the
"Tire-Kickers" from the "Hot Leads and Potential Buyers". If you are a
real estate broker you would not choose keywords like "house," "home,"
"homes for sale," "real estate," these are all terms too broad in their
descriptive form and anyone typing these terms into the search engines
probably at best, qualify as a "Tire-Kicker." As a real estate broker,
you would want to identify your targeted market, and the product you offer,
i.e. you might choose the keyword phrases like "waterfront home for sale,
Newport Beach, CA," "view home for sale, Anaheim Hills, CA," Condo for sale,
Irvine, CA," etc. When someone types in a phrase like this and you
have the product, then your sales conversion ratio will increase
accordingly. The average amount of words used in keyword phrase
searches are running between 4 and 8 words. Think back as to how many
times you conducted searches and have had to modify the search phrase to be
more descriptive.
